With Impact Comes Responsibility
Brightmerge not only helps cities and companies optimize the electrification of fleets, transportation and electricity infrastructure. We also aim to have a wider impact aligned with a number of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In particular, Brightmerge is most directly relevant to SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
Read more below to learn how each SDG is advanced through a different dimension of how the Brightmerge platform enables EV fleets, charging hubs, and microgrids to be designed and operated as bankable, low‑carbon assets.

SDG 7 - Affordable and Clean Energy
Brightmerge’s platform helps a wide range of users design and optimize EV charging hubs and microgrids, including recommending how to best design and operate renewables-based microgrids to manage ongoing energy costs. This supports access to affordable, reliable and modern energy services (SDG targets 7.1, 7.2, 7.3). By using AI- and ML-driven optimization to reduce the cost and over‑sizing of local energy infrastructure, these capabilities directly advance energy efficiency and investment in clean energy infrastructure for fleets, buildings and municipalities.

SDG 11 - Sustainable Cities and Communities
Brightmerge focuses on electrified fleets, public and private charging hubs, and municipal smart charging/microgrid solutions, which align with targets for affordable and sustainable transport systems and reduced environmental impact of cities (SDG targets 11.2, 11.6). By enabling cities and real-estate owners to deploy resilient, grid-aware local energy systems that can island from the main grid when needed, it contributes to more resilient, reliable and low‑emission urban infrastructure and services.

SDG 13 - Climate Action
The Brightmerge platform is explicitly positioned around accelerating ICE‑to‑EV fleet transition and decarbonizing transportation, a sector responsible for roughly one‑third of industrial greenhouse gas emissions, which supports mitigation‑focused climate action. By helping organizations model, simulate and optimize EV energy use, charging patterns, and integration with renewables, Brightmerge lowers the risk of non‑profitable or stranded decarbonization projects and enables more ambitious, durable emissions‑reduction programs.
